2006年,为共同NDS版（钻石!珍珠版）的上市,TV动画同步推出全新系列「神奇法宝钻石&珍珠」（Pokémon Diamond & Pearl,简称DP）。对战开辟区篇停止后,小遥为了径自挑衅城都地域的华美大赛跟小智离别,小胜回到了橙华道馆,小刚也回家去了。小智则遭到了小茂的鼓励,径自带着皮卡丘跟偷渡的长尾怪手前去神奥地域挑衅同盟。新上场的女配角小光,其底本取自电玩NDS版。为了成为顶尖调跟练习家,小光从故乡双叶镇离开了位于真砂镇的山梨研讨所支付最初的神奇法宝。而统一时光,小智也到达神奥地域,并在那边跟小刚再度汇合。机遇偶合,小光救了被火箭队抓走的皮卡丘,三人就一起结伴游览,开展了新的路程。「神奇法宝珍珠&钻石」每周四在岛国日本首播。台湾也由中视直接转播,收集上可以找到前105集的国语配音。
