鉴于卢米埃尔兄弟发明的摄影机拍摄的早期短片多年来一直没有很好的修复版本，卢米埃尔学会于2013年起与法国电影资料馆、法国闪电集团、意大利博洛尼亚修复实验室等多家机构联合对卢米埃尔摄影机拍摄150部左右的影片进行4k分辨率的扫描修复。由于每部影片都很短，因此卢米埃尔学会的负责人、也是戛纳电影节的节目总监福茂将其中114部影片按照不同的主题进行分类，组合在一起后凑成一个总长95分钟左右的合集，取名《卢米埃尔！冒险开始》。这个合集在2015年5月的戛纳电影节做了120周年特别放映，法国总理也到场捧场。放映采用了类似弁士讲解的方式，观众在观看影片的同时，还收听到了福茂的同步讲评。

CBS在新喜剧上表现无力下把歪脑筋动到《生活大爆炸TheBigBangTheory》的Sheldon身上，早前他们宣布开发《生活大爆炸》衍生前传剧，現CBS确定预订命名为《小谢尔顿YoungSheldon》的衍生剧，顾名思义就是以SheldonCooper为主角。该剧定于17-18年度播出。这部喜剧主角不是Sheldon成年版，而是以他9岁时为背景，剧集也会以《马尔柯姆的一家MalcolmintheMiddle》的单镜头家庭喜剧方式制作，讲述Sheldon当年在德州东部的家庭及学校生活。ChuckLorre与BillPrady为主创兼执行制片﹑SteveMolaro﹑ToddSpiewak与在《生活大爆炸》饰演Sheldon的JimParsons为制作人兼执行制片。在过往剧情中，可得知Sheldon的家人包括哥哥George﹑异卵双胞胎姐妹Missy﹑有宗教信仰的妈妈MaryCooper，以及酗酒的爸爸GeorgeCooper。另外Sheldon还有外婆（Meemaw）及外公（PopPop），外公在Sheldon5岁时去世。该剧由JonFavreau执导，IainArmitage将饰演年轻版的SheldonCooper﹑ZoePerry饰演其母亲MaryCooper﹑LanceBarber饰演Sheldon的父亲﹑RaeganRevord及MontanaJordan饰演Sheldon的兄妹（姐？）﹑AnniePotts饰演外婆。

美籍青年谷岳（谷岳KyleJohnson）早年辞去在美国金融公司的工作之后，就一直是一名四处周游的旅人。在结识现任德国女友伊卡之后，谷岳便想通过一次从北京到柏林搭车的长途苦旅来表达对女友的爱。中国青年纪录片导演刘畅（刘畅）被谷岳的想法深深吸引，两人便结伴开始了这次充满刺激的惊险旅程。2009年，两人从北京出发，全程基本全部通过招手搭车的方式逐渐向德国柏林前行。他们的旅途不仅充满了惊险，更充满了途径的各国友人对他们的支持和关心。而当他们终于到达柏林的时候，他们竟然通过十分意外的情形与伊卡重逢。纪录片同名著作《搭车去柏林》也于2011年出版。
