1990年代，少年排骨生活在马来西亚海边的一个小镇，这里的海滩算不上美丽迷人，碧绿的稻田也是这里的另一道风景。排骨和朋友们在这里出生、成长，喝酒、抽烟、打牌、打架成了这帮少年消解青春多余躁动的方式。女孩WanChing慢慢走进了排骨的生活。相互的好感，使得两人在夜晚共同喝酒、聊天。不久之后，WanChing接受了父母安排的生活。而排骨也在稻田成熟之时，告别了自己的青春。而他们只是大时代下不曾惊觉的无数小人物之一。
