本·马尼拜格(派瑞·沈饰)是一名亚裔美国高中少年——一个极端聪慧的完善主义者,背负着亚洲人的传统思惟,然而过于有成就感反而成为一种井蛙之见,直接约束了他思惟的正常开展。本生涯在加利福尼亚州橘县的一个守旧的郊区,黉舍跟从级都是一样的压制,生涯中除了三点一线好像再不其余的豪情可言。就如许平庸地度过中学时光,本结业时是班级成就最优良的先生,顺遂地进入到最好的常春藤同盟大学。 在本高校生涯开真个时间,他偶尔赞助了达瑞克·鲁(罗格·范饰),一个高年级致离别辞的结业生代表——是别的一个过于有成就感的人。本在新情况里敏捷交友了多少个友人,包含俏丽的史蒂芬妮(卡琳·安娜·丘格饰)；另有关联最好的维吉尔(贾森·J·托宾饰),他才干横溢却在交际上笨手笨脚；另有一个就是维吉尔的表兄韩(宋康饰),一个丧掉了魂魄!肌肉赛过大脑的家伙。但此时他发明达瑞克有些奇异：作为班上最聪慧的先生,他看上去好像可托跟亲热的反面躲藏着很多机密。 在与达瑞克一同的日子里,本跟搭档们认识到传统的完善先生的位置正遭到威逼,于是本事导这组各怀苦衷的少年参加了一个郊区帮派,用双倍的开打趣跟一些小小的犯法去缓解作为一名好先生的压力,对他们来说,偷货色跟毒品买卖就像测验舞弊一样轻松而有成就感。但是跟着时光的流逝,所有都得到了掌握：性!毒品跟犯法的饥渴……******美国2002光阴侨导演贾斯汀林执导的R级独破片,是继「喜福会」之后第二部华侨班底制造的独破片子,入围圣丹斯片子节!多伦多国际片子节参赛作品,IMDB评估到达7.7分,派拉蒙一区版。明珠也出了此片,名叫「来日会更好」。简介：该片80%的不雅众是华侨,本·麦纳伯格（派里·沈）是亚裔高中先生,他聪慧聪颖!作业好!课外运动踊跃,多少乎所有的有名大学都向他收回了吸收函。他跟他的挚友维吉尔（詹森·J·托宾）在后院踢球,却听了有手机德律风铃响,不是本也不是维吉尔的,好象是从草地中收回的,于是他们寻声向地下发掘,挖呀挖近似跋扈狂,终于他们发明那响声是从土壤中,从一个遗体手中握着抓着的货色收回的。「Better Luck Tomorrow」,是一部完整由亞裔拍攝跟上演,表現美國亞裔青少年生涯的片子。電影開始前,三個亞裔青年進來向各人問好,呼籲觀眾——大部份是亞裔 ——動員本人的友人來看。說實話,這部製作費用昂贵的電影拍得相當不錯,我有些猎奇為什麼沒有在媒體上見到太多的廣告。電影散場以後,我才認出來,剛才進來講話的居然是影片中的配角。後來晓得,該片經費菲薄,沒有marketing的費用,只有配角在美國巡迴推廣。這不由讓我感喟華裔在美國的艱辛跟困苦。美國是個移平易近國家,以「大熔爐」著稱,但是美國對於外國移平易近的容纳跟友爱,好像主要體現在對歐洲跟南美洲移平易近身上。從一百多年前中國勞工第一次踏上美洲大陸開始,這片自在土壤上的一代代華裔就自始至終為生涯進行著抗爭跟奮鬥。剛到美國的時候,我想作為生在美國長在美國的華裔,他們會很天然地認同本人是美國人,但是因為亞裔表面體型上跟大部份美國人的差別,在社會上他們會很轻易被誤認為是「外國人」,即便他們說一口流畅的英文。這樣的現象在文學跟藝術界尤為明顯。許多從事創作的華裔人士雖然從心思跟個人歷史配景上來看都是地隧道道的美國人,但他們的作品卻每每被放到他們的種族配景(ethic background)裏去解讀。在這種不公正的詮釋眼前,作為創作者正常有兩種態度。有的人愈加尽力跟锐意地去洗刷本人的種族配景,力圖否認本人是華裔這個事實；也有人開始嘗試去瞭解!融入那個誕生他們祖輩的遙遠的東方文化,並且給本人定位為東东方文化的橋樑,把本人身份的特别性從倒霉變成特長。好比在美國相當胜利的華裔作家Amy Tan就是個典范的例子。當然這兩種態度並沒有優劣之分,每個人都有權利決定本人的生涯方法,然而作為現今美國社會中的大多數華裔,在生涯跟任务中他們须要比正常美國人多面對一層隔绝,這是個不爭的事實。在這種窘境下,亞裔本人的團結跟尽力就顯得更為主要。「Better Luck Tomorrow」的導演演員們的尽力就是生机的一部门。我們應當給予這樣的尽力更多的鼓勵。生机亞裔友人都來看這部電影。
